Who we are, our executives

Dr Andy Milward, PhD, CPsychol, AFBPsS

I am Consulting and Research Director at Informationalities and founder and Chief Executive Officer of Milward International, a strategic change consulting firm.

Informationalities and Milward International have formed a partnership enabling us to integrate our skills to support clients with complex challenges.

My role is to analyse clients’ challenges, develop and manage the delivery of solutions.

After a twelve-year career in Information Technology and Consulting, I founded Milward International in 1992.

I have lived and worked in several countries where I have consulted with several hundred organisations. My work includes helping senior executives to analyse complex problems, develop strategies for strategic change, and improve decision-making and other skills.

I have twelve years of experience as a non-executive director, and I have developed a global network of influential contacts that I draw on to help my clients.

I am a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol), and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS). My specialist area is social-organisational psychology, the study of people’s behaviour in groups and organisations. I am registered with the British Psychological Society to conduct psychological testing (Test User: Occupational, Personality at Level 2).

As a Behavioural Statistician, I research Social-Psychological phenomena in organisations. I have a PhD in Critical Management from Lancaster University Management School in England. My research extended our understanding of the social-psychological mechanisms that motivate behaviour in work groups. The distinguished business psychologist, Professor Sir Cary L. Cooper, CBE, supervised my research.

I also have an MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in the United States, an MSc in Statistics and Social Research Methods from the University of Manchester, England and an MSc in Social and Behavioural Sciences from the University of Salford, England.

My forty-five years of experience as an employee, entrepreneur, psychologist, employer, management consultant, non-executive director, researcher and coach make me uniquely qualified to help senior executives solve complex problems in their organisations.

Outside work, I am a keen photographer. I also like to keep fit, travel, pursue further education, and learn to play acoustic guitar.
